Cake Class #2

So I learned from making the first cake that I really need to take the icing out of the fridge for a day, (to make sure it is room temperature) before trying to use it. Today I saw the difference in consistency and spreadability. It is a chocolate cake with cherry filling, white icing and I learned more about using the icing bags. I still am impressed with myself with my first cake. It looked whimsical. This one.. well, is more a "me" cake, with the hat eh? Next time, I should make the picture bigger.
I plan to go visit my former coworkers for tea and bring the cake. This is the first week of my "replacement" so I guess it is a nice way to usher him in?
