'Untouchable' woman dies after Indian medics refuse treatment from

An "untouchable" woman who gave birth outside an Indian hospital because doctors would not treat her died Thursday, a day after her baby, officials admitted.


I have read a lot of comments about this incident. Regardless of what North Americans think of this situation, most likely won't understand the reason this happened, there is still something to be said for human rights. Regardless of personal belief or character, everyone deserves care. Everyone should be treated as having worth and value. Sadly, this is not true.
